At the 2019 Busan International Film Festival, ChiChiPingPing—the 3D fantasy adventure animation produced by ARIMOA Co., Ltd.—was honored with the Gold Award in the Animation Category. This prestigious award recognized the series' creative storytelling, high-quality production, and global potential.

Inspired by the classic tale Around the World in 80 Days, ChiChiPingPing follows the journey of two charming characters, ChiChi and PingPing, as they travel through imaginative fantasy worlds. The series stood out among a competitive lineup of international works, earning praise for its originality, educational value, and appeal to global family audiences.

‘ChiChiPingPing’ Selected as a promotion ambassador for Busan Tourism Organization

ChiChiPingPing as Busan Tourism Ambassador

Busan Tourism Organization and animation production company ARIMOA Co., Ltd. have signed an official agreement appointing ChiPing, the 3D animation character from the TV series ChiChiPingPing, as an ambassador for Busan tourism. Through this partnership, ChiPing-themed content will be developed across key landmarks including Taejongdae, Haeundae, and Yongdusan Park to attract domestic and international family visitors.

Originally developed over four years with an investment of 5 billion KRW, ChiChiPingPing is a fantasy adventure animation inspired by Around the World in 80 Days. It has gained popularity through prime-time broadcasts on China’s CETV and TV Chosun in Korea. Season 2 has recently been completed and is set to expand further in both markets.

ARIMOA has also achieved major milestones in China, including educational content distribution for kindergartens, a 66-hectare theme park development MOU, and regional licensing deals—proving the global scalability of the ChiPing IP.

Popular characters Saengkeum and Dogcat from the 3D animated series ChiChiPingPing were selected as special mascots for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, bringing joy and energy to a global audience during one of the world’s largest sporting events.

As part of the Olympic cultural program, the two characters appeared in various media content and
 on-site activities, engaging visitors from around the world.

With their charming and vibrant designs, Saengkeum and Dogcat captured hearts across age groups,
 showcasing the appeal and global potential of K-animation IPs.

Their appearance at the Olympics marked an important milestone in ChiChiPingPing’s international expansion and laid the groundwork for its integration into broader cultural, tourism, and blockchain platforms through ChiPing RWA.

ChiChiPingPing's Expansive Reach: Airing on EBS and Screening in 144 CGV Theaters Nationwide

The 3D animated series ChiChiPingPing, produced by ARIMOA Co., Ltd., has released its theatrical version titled "ChiChiPingPing's KungKungDa Adventure". The film is currently screening in 144 CGV theaters across South Korea and is also being broadcast on EBS Kids TV, garnering significant attention from young audiences.​

The movie has achieved a spot in the top 10 of the box office, reflecting its popularity among children and families. In addition to the film's success, ARIMOA has partnered with KBS Media to distribute 41 "ChiChiPingPing" children's songs across various music platforms and to expand the series' presence on multiple video platforms.​

The "ChiChiPingPing" series has previously secured the number one spot in MBC TV's animation ratings. With a total of 104 episodes across four seasons, the series has been dubbed in five languages—Korean, English, Chinese, Spanish, and Arabic—and exported to 59 countries, including the United States, China, France, and the United Kingdom.​

The official YouTube channel for "ChiChiPingPing" achieved the Silver Play Button within a year of its launch, surpassing 32 million cumulative views. It also ranked fourth globally in subscriber growth among children's YouTube channels.​

ARIMOA has released approximately 60 character merchandise items related to "ChiChiPingPing" and is actively pursuing licensing agreements with mid-sized companies in China, Taiwan, and Vietnam.​

CEO Gye Young-jin stated, "Just like the 'ChiChiPingPing' animation, ARIMOA aims to grow into a global entertainment company akin to Disney. We plan to continuously and progressively develop a One-Source Multi-Use (OSMU) business utilizing the 'ChiChiPingPing' character."​

Arimoa Expands into Russia with ChiChiPingPing Animation

Arimoa has signed a content distribution agreement with Russia’s MBG Group, a leading TV content production company in the region. This agreement will bring the ChiChiPingPing animation series to audiences across 14 Eastern European countries, including Russia and other CIS nations.

Previously released through global platforms such as Amazon Prime (US), Highbrow (UK), Tencent Video and iQIYI (China), and others in Taiwan, Vietnam, and Indonesia, ChiChiPingPing continues to strengthen its presence in the global animation market.

Young-jin Gye, CEO of Arimoa, emphasized that the series has been dubbed in multiple languages including English, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, and Malay — boosting its competitiveness in the global market.

He also announced a new partnership with Young Rembrandt, supporting the 11th World Children’s Art Contest held in celebration of UN’s World Children’s Day (Nov. 20). Over 50,000 children worldwide are expected to participate, with ChiChiPingPing serving as a cultural ambassador for Korean animation.

Arimoa Signs Licensing Deal with MetaEdu for ChiChiPingPing

Arimoa, the producer of the globally-distributed animation ChiChiPingPing, has signed a character licensing agreement with MetaEdu, a leading Korean education company. MetaEdu plans to integrate the ChiChiPingPing character into its English, Korean, and Math programs and release over 100 merchandise products such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, lunch trays, and stationery.

MetaEdu currently operates 58 branches and supplies content to more than 3,500 kindergartens and preschools across South Korea. Arimoa has also entered a separate character licensing agreement with ArtCreo, a children’s art education franchise with 250 branches.

ChiChiPingPing, a 104-episode animated series inspired by Around the World in 80 Days, has been exported to 75 countries. In South Korea, the series has aired on a wide range of major broadcast and digital platforms, including MBC, Channel A, TV Chosun, EBS Kids, Chunjae Education Milk T Kids, Animax, JEI TV, Daekyo Kids TV, and IPTV services provided by SK Broadband B tv, LG U+ tv, and KT Olleh TV. It is also available through Home Choice, The Kids, TVING, Wavve, Junior Naver.

The ChiChiPingPing YouTube channel has exceeded 60 million views, and the theatrical release shown in 144 CGV theaters in 2023 ranked in the top 10 at the Korean national box office.

CEO Young-jin Gye of Arimoa Receives Ministerial Commendation for ChiChiPingPing’s Global Success

Young-jin Gye, CEO of Arimoa, the producer of the global animation series ChiChiPingPing, received a Ministerial Commendation from Lee Young, the Minister of SMEs and Startups of South Korea. The award was presented in recognition of Arimoa’s innovative achievements in the animation and content industry, both domestically and internationally.

ChiChiPingPing, often referred to as a representative of K-animation, has aired on major Korean broadcasting channels such as MBC, TV Chosun, Channel A, Animax, JEI TV, and Daekyo Kids TV.

On the global stage, the series has been distributed to 57 countries including the United States, China, the United Kingdom, France, Taiwan, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Malaysia, and to regions across Africa, South America, and the Middle East.

The 2023 musical animation film ChiChiPingPing: KungKungDa Explorers, released in 144 CGV theaters nationwide on April 10, surpassed 10,000 reservations within two weeks. The movie has gained strong interest from kindergartens and daycare centers for group viewings.

CEO Gye, also recognized as one of Korea’s New Intellectuals, has demonstrated corporate social responsibility through ESG initiatives. In March, he donated 270,000 children’s masks to ChildFund Korea and the Korean Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse (KAVA) to support child welfare.
